Our British field labs are amateur-trained by Stuart Gray pursuant to top American Field Trial training methods with exposure to the unique testing concepts of AKC and UKC/HRC hunt tests.  Our Labs have excelled under American retriever training methods.  This includes training with appropriate e-collar corrections.  Although some British Lab breeders and trainers located in the United States preach traditional British training methods, we have found that the timeliness of proper e-collar corrections is a more direct and beneficial method of correcting disobedience to known commands in the yard and field.  When properly used in the hands of an educated trainer, the e-collar is by far the fairest and most effective training tool used today.  For more discussion of our training history and development, please see our History page.
