and loving to children.  Our British Labs are the close

companion of our young daughter – they behave beautifully

with the unavoidable poking, grabbing, and proddings of

toddlers and other small children.

Great markers – with exceptional retrieving ability and desire;

very good memory; quick and systematic hunters in the area of fall.

Fast, alert, driven, great attitudes, pleasing performers.

 

Perseverance

Courageous hunters, willing to face rough cover, cold or rough

water, ice, mud, or similar conditions without hesitation;

serious retrievers that stick to and finish the job at hand.

 

 

Biddable

Highly trainable and intelligent - willing and eager to be trained.

     

 

Nose

Excellent nose and natural game-finding instincts.

 

 

 

 

Soft Mouth

Naturally soft mouthed.

 

 

Appearance/Conformation

Functional, muscular, athletic build; excellent endurance;

deep rib-cage; compact muscular back; powerful hindquarters;

bold head; general good looks; slightly shorter than the

average American Lab – standing 21”-23”; males = 60-75 lbs;

females = 55-70 lbs.; Colors: Black and Yellow

(ranging from almost white to fox red).
